Tech Talks with Tomer: Smart Contracts and Interoperability with Axelar Co-founder Sergey Gorbunov

Welcome to the first episode of season 2 of Tech Talks with Tomer, a video and podcast series hosted by Tomer Weller, VP of Product at Stellar Development Foundation. In every episode, Tomer speaks with some of the smartest engineers in blockchain about the biggest innovations happening in the space.

In this episode, Tomer chats with Sergey Gorbunov, Co-founder of Axelar. Axelar is a decentralized protocol that facilitates cross-chain communication. Both Axelar and Stellar were built to facilitate interoperability, and in this episode, Tomer and Sergey talk about their teams' respective approaches and the biggest developer challenges.

Before founding Axelar, Sergey was part of the founding team at Algorand, where he led the cryptography group. He is also a computer science professor at the University of Waterloo, teaching classes on information security and computer networks.
