One Giant Leap for Stellar Quest Learn

Stellar Quest Learn is getting another update! This renovation introduces several exciting components, including:
- Level Three is live! Our most difficult level yet is now available to play at the Stellar Quest Learn website.
- XLM rewards are here! Earn XLM when you complete each level of Stellar Quest Learn.
- Reduced onboarding friction by: 1) introducing the Pioneer Quest – a new introductory quest that teaches you how to set up a wallet, and 2) removing the requirement to start an account or connect a wallet to play Stellar Quest Learn.
Since Stellar Quest’s launch in October 2020, we’ve continued to listen to feedback to make the experience as engaging, user-friendly, and educational as possible. We want Stellar Quest to have something for everyone, whether you’re a blockchain beginner or aficionado.
Let’s talk a little more about the exciting new changes.
Stellar Quest Learn Level Three is now live!
You’ve learned about account-level operations and configuration operations. Now it’s time to get into the advanced stuff. Level Three is our most challenging level and tackles bump sequences, sponsorships, clawbacks, claimable balances, and liquidity pools. As always, you can jump straight into Level Three without completing the other levels (but you’d miss out on all those neat NFT badges)!
Level Three is our final Stellar Quest Learn level. But don’t be too bummed! We’ll continue to release side quests and hold Stellar Quest Live events.
You can now earn XLM rewards!
In addition to earning NFT badges for every completed quest, you can now earn XLM rewards as you finish each Stellar Quest Learn level. Rewards are broken down as follows:
- 20 XLM for completing Level One;
- 30 XLM for completing Level Two;
- 50 XLM for completing Level Three;
- For a total of 100 XLM!
To receive your XLM rewards and NFT badges, you must connect or set up your Albedo wallet- which brings us to our next exciting update:
We’re reducing onboarding friction!
Some of the most prevalent Stellar Quest feedback is that the onboarding process is too confusing. Users who are new to blockchain might not understand what a crypto wallet is and quit before they begin any quests. To alleviate this issue, we’ve introduced our Pioneer Quest, an introductory quest that teaches you about wallets, how to set them up, and how to use them. We use Albedo for our Stellar Quest wallet, but the information can be applied universally to most crypto wallets.
Why are we calling it a Pioneer Quest? Well, the Pioneer programs were a series of NASA missions to explore the outer reaches of space. As you will explore the outer reaches of the Stellar network.
We’ve also removed the requirement to set up or connect a wallet to complete quests. You won’t be able to receive XLM rewards or NFT badges, but you will be able to learn the nuances of Stellar operations! This is a great option for those who might just want to do one or two quests for educational purposes.
What’s next for Stellar Quest?
Although level three is the last level of Stellar Quest Learn, we’ll continue to release side quests as more features are added to the network. We currently have side quests that teach you how to use fee-bump transactions and mint an NFT!
We will also continue to host Stellar Quest Live events- and may even have news of such an exciting event before the end of 2022.
