Executive Director Message 

June brought the second quarter of 2020 to a close — and with it, the acceptance of a new normal as we’ve grown accustomed to virtual business as usual. While the Stellar Development Foundation has been fortunate to continue growing and thriving in this evolved business environment, the events of the first half of this year have called our focus to the many in our communities who are struggling.  

We believe the technology we’re working on is going to help address some of these struggles over the long-term. But, we continue to ask ourselves, what can we do to help today?

We’ve decided that part of our short-term answer is to continue our partnership with Lumenthropy, in collaboration with our community, for the month of July to support a cause deeply relevant to today’s challenges: University of San Francisco Institute for Nonviolence and Social Justice, a nonprofit driving interdisciplinary research, education, advocacy, creative expression, and multimedia publication to investigate, illuminate, and advance the theory and practice of transformational nonviolence to powerfully confront and overcome injustice and systemic violence and contribute to the just resolution of communal conflict. For the entire month, we will match XLM donations made by our community up to 2 million XLM. 

As I’ve said before, there is no better time for us to collectively leverage the power and strength of our community to help the people and causes that reflect our values. We hope you join us supporting the important work of USF by donating today.

Successful cooperation with Bankhaus von der Heydt and Bitbond: KlickOwn completes first issuance

Hamburg-based crowd investing platform KlickOwn successfully completed the initial bond offering for the property "Historisches Lüneburg". Issuances on KlickOwn are conducted exclusively via so-called tokenized securities, also known as security tokens.

SDF New Hires

Alec Charbonneau, Software Engineer 

Alec is a software engineer joining the SDF Nebula team. Most recently he led the development for a fintech startup, building their MVP and getting them their first revenue. Prior to that he worked for various finance companies including Bank of America and a crypto company Circle, where his passion for the blockchain space began. 

Aditi Gangurde, Marketing and Brand Designer

Aditi is a visual designer joining the Marketing team. Previously, she was a freelance designer at Facebook and other agencies in SF and NY. She has worked on B2B teams as well as consumer fintech startups. Her work is focused around storytelling and creating meaningful brand experiences for users.
